Two Epiphany Explorations videos will be available for viewing on Wednesday, March 25th. Sandra Beardsall from 10 a.m. to 12 and later Mark MacDonald from 1p.m. to 3.
This was the title of Sandra Beardsall‘s presentation as a keynote speaker at Epiphany Explorations in Victoria, BC.
Come watch the video and engage in discussion of Sandra’s ideas about “hospitality” and “holy curiosity” as opportunities that can be “a glimpse of divinity“.
We have another opportunity from 1 to 3 pm. We will view Bishop (Anglican) Mark MacDonald’s Epiphany Explorations presentation titled “Lost Humanity: Indigenous Life & Reconciliation of the Churches of Canada”.
The United Church of Canada’s “Comprehensive Review” includes this recommendation:
The Comprehensive Review Task Group recommends that:
(recommendation #2) Aboriginal Ministries a) A process be established to continue conversations with the Aboriginal ministries that form the Aboriginal Ministries Council to build a relationship between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples based on mutuality, respect, and equity. b) To the extent possible, spending on Aboriginal ministries be maintained during the next triennium while discussions continue, and thereafter a set percentage of annual givings to the Mission and Service Fund be dedicated to this ministry. c) The important work of Indigenous justice and right relations continue so the church can continue to live out its apologies to Aboriginal peoples.
Hearing Bishop MacDonald’s presentation may be a timely gift! Please join us. All are welcome!
