Sunday community
Dec. 21st, the last Sunday of Advent, was a busy time at KUC.
Before worship the hall was humming as Judy and Gavin prepared for an after worship social time, Arleen put out the KUC library’s Christmas books, Maureen and Ingrid VT set up our final “Christmas Market”, and Ethel and June put out the Cobb’s bread in support of the PIT Stop (hot meal program).
Worship included anthems by “Men of Note” and “Folk of Note” and instrumental offerings of a soundscape created by Rob G. on gongs, cymbal & chimes, and a piano and organ duet by Marg W and Roberta.
The Advent Candles were lit, and Bruce offered a reflection entitled “Divine Interruptions”.
After worship Rob demonstrated the gongs and people had an opportunity to create sounds.
