The church season of Lent is a time to examine our faith, our actions, our commitment and our discipleship as Christians and followers of Jesus Christ. In 2013 two churches in the lower mainland introduced the Lenten Challenge to their congregants. The Lenten Challenge has a personal workbook that provides a scripture reading, a thought, questions for reflection and a prayer for each of the 40 days of Lent. In addition, the workbook includes questions on one’s preparation for and experience of worship for each of the Challenges for this coming Lent. These are personal studies to help individuals deepen their faith and their relationship with God.
