Your Stewardship group is nearing the completion of a four week program involving congregational input prior to preparing budgeting for 2014.
Last week, Nov. 10, we asked: “What do you dream for KUC?” An opportunity to give ideas about what KUC could be, what programs or activities it could offer. That “dreaming” resulted in a wide range of ideas including completion of the redevelopment project, outreach to the community, and ministry to the community in many ways.
This week, Nov. 17, the fourth week in the series, and the last in which we will ask your feedback, we ask you to consider making a declaration about financial intentions for the next KUC fiscal year. It is not a pledge, nor will your name be asked, nor is it a complete canvas of all members, but we hope to get an indication of generosity, a willingness to increase your monetary gift to KUC next year to keep current personnel, programs, facilities, activities going, and maybe, begin some new ventures. All aspects of KUC life require generous giving. Your responses this week will be a good indication of expectations for 2014 and the future. Current levels of gifting are insufficient even for the operation of KUC at the moment, so remaining the same with gifting will not provide well for the future. Please consider your generosity in that light.
We thank you for your participation and thoughtfulness throughout the last weeks and will endeavour to keep everyone informed as to ideas and plans for 2014.
