Two meetings this month. An informal time together in the middle of the month to continue our exploration of becoming “a center for spiritual growth” recognizing it begins with us as individuals, we shared personal experiences of our own spiritual growth.
Our “regular” meeting included a report from Vision429 and a visit from Diane Stuart regarding future plans for Pit Stop, request for approval to place railings at the front entrance of the church, discussion around the free standing old sign facing St Paul St., tidying up some Wish List items, updating from Bruce Comrie, exciting possibilities with our noon hour soup program.
Several books were discussed that would address our continuing need to explore the vision of the “emerging” church. Members have agreed to do some intentional reading on the subject and possibly attend an Exploration event in Victoria or a 2 day lecture series at First United in Kelowna .
Upon receiving the financial report it became apparent much more time was needed to explore budget possibilities for next year so your hard working Council Circle (!!) agreed to another “extra” meeting (Nov.13) to deal with the report in depth with the Stewardship group as invited participants as well.
