Bill & Freda White, from our congregation, are currently part of the “Developing World Connections” water catchment project in India. Today’s blog was written by two of the other participants.
Oct 31st: A Halloween Celebration and more.
The project has been moving along quickly. It is amazing to see the progress that has been made since we first started from no wall to a giant wall.
We headed to Miethu’s (the Boss) family’s house early this week to share lunch and meet his family. Great food, lots of laughs and photos.
Today we celebrated Halloween with the workers and children at the site sharing treats and small gifts with them. Everyone was quite excited to learn about Halloween and the traditions we have back home.We are looking forward to our last day of work and then celebrating with everyone on the weekend. It has been fun getting to know the workers, their families, and the children. We have all shared many laughs, cement throwing, learning new words, and we are sad to see our time here coming to an end. We will cherish the memories and friends we have made and hope that we will be back to visit again.
