A Public Hearing of the Subdivision and Rezoning of a portion of Camp Grafton will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 7 pm. at the North Shuswap Community Hall, Celista. The Public Hearing is an opportunity for property owners in the Columbia Shuswap Regional District to provide their opinion on the proposed subdivision.
Vision 429 would like to encourage KUC members who own property in the Columbia Shuswap Regional District to attend the Public Hearing being held by the Regional District. If property owners are unable to attend, they may submit their opinion directly via email to: Jennifer Sham at firstname.lastname@example.org or to Director Larry Morgan at email@example.com. All information must be received no later than August 21st – submissions received after that date will not be considered. Approval of the subdivision is critical and a mandatory requirement of the financing advanced to date from BC Housing. An article providing history about Camp Grafton and the goal of the subdivision was submitted in the local community paper, the Kicker. To read the article (written by Jennifer Keim, co-chair of Kamloops United Church Redevelopment) to the “Kicker” Community Paper for the Shuswap area, click here. (A copy of the article is also posted at KUC, on the bulletin board at the top of the stairs, across from the Action Desk.)
