Kamloops United Church (KUC) has been helping the Kamloops community for over 100 years from its location at 4th and St. Paul. Many community initiatives had their genesis from that location. Over the past few years, KUC has been undergoing a redevelopment process – looking for ways to update our facilities and expand the number of ways in which we can help our community. The redevelopment of our site is designed to accomplish both goals.
In Phase I, the Sanctuary site was renovated to create a new kitchen, hall, preschool and community space. Phase II of the redevelopment is to create affordable homes and help folks attain the goal of home ownership. By working with government agencies, KUC is able to offer brand-new condominiums in downtown Kamloops and, for those who need it, the ability to purchase a home without having a downpayment up front. Throughout this process, KUC has worked closely with our architectural team at BlueGreen Architecture to ensure that the homes combine function and beauty. Through our contractor, Tri-City Contracting Ltd., we are confident that the new homes will meet exacting standards for quality and value.
Kamloops United Church has always been about an inclusive community. With the new housing development, we are excited to welcome new people into the neighbourhood – come make 429 St. Paul your home too!
