This film explores the root causes and government policy behind the creation of Indian Residential Schools, and gives the moving stories of those who attended the Kamloops Residential School. It will be shown at TRU Alumnae Theatre, Clock Tower Building, Friday, April 5 at 7 pm. The show is sponsored by TRU Canadian Studies and the T’kemlups Indian Band and is supported by a number of Kamloops churches. The moderator for the evening will be Dr. Nathan Matthew, Executive Director, Aboriginal Studies, TRU. Shane Gottfriedson of the TIB will also be in attendance.
