Mark your Calendars. Holy week 2012 was marked by transition – services were a little different last year. This year, transitional conversations continued and things are different yet again as the three United Churches explore shared events of both a social and spiritual content. Heads up, Good Friday 2014, Tri-Church will host a “Ways of the Cross Good Friday Walk through the streets and lanes of Kamloops, deepening our faithful public witness. But that’s NEXT YEAR.
THIS YEAR, March 24, we’ll celebrate Palm Sunday and enter Jerusalem with Jesus and his followers. March 28, Thursday, KUC feels blessed to be able to invite the Plura Hills United Church community to create their kosher Seder Meal in our new kitchen, and host the event in our new Fellowship Hall. If you’ve never been able to make it to Plura Hills for the Seder Dinner, this is your chance to experience this traditional Passover meal with friends and family. The Seder Dinner will be followed by the Maundy Thursday Service in the Sanctuary, coordinated by KUC. Good Friday, our Folk of Note Choir and our Worship Team will provide a Good Friday service in the KUC Sanctuary. March 31, Sunday morning, 7:30 am, KUC will host our Sunrise Service on Overlander Beach, just the north side of the Overlander Bridge; music, fellowship, prayer and loaves and fishes will be provided – Bring your Easter morning spirits. And at 10:00 am, we will host our Easter Celebration and decorate our cross with flowers. Please bring flowers for the cross Easter Morning. Any questions regarding Holy Week, please contact Rev. Teri Meyer.
