Marcus Borg’s latest book, ‘Speaking Christian’ is subtitled, ‘Why Christian Words Have Lost Their Meaning and Power – And How They Can Be Restored.’  Borg, an internationally known biblical scholar, best-selling author and public theologian shows how ‘Christian words and phrases have not only diminished in meaning, but they’ve become distorted and virtually stripped of their biblical and historic meanings.  In this much needed Christian primer, Borg teaches us how to read, hear and digest our Christian language without preconceived notions getting in the way.  In ‘Speaking Christian’ Borg redeems the language of Christianity by restoring its power to illuminate us and transform the world.’
